Some of my Philosophy
January 13, 2009I’m fortunate enough to have discovered timeless wisdom through many influences.
Some of the great minds that have influenced my philosophy to date have been the minds of,
Jim Rohn, Robin Seiger, Echart Tolle, Napoleon Hill, Dale Carnegie, Alexander the Great, Stephen Covery, Buddha, Jesus, Anthony Robbins, Brian Tracey, Ian Spicer, Illka Tales, David Schwartz, John Maxwell, Seth Godin, Albert Einstein and many others,
As my philosophy evolves I my belief system to date has allowed me to see life and the world in a way with very little resistance.
As Jim Rohn says, “Life is a collection of experiances that vary in frequency and intensity.”
With experiance creating reference points to give meaning to the pearls of wisdoms it is also possible to gain experiance, wisdom and also a meaning from the pearls of wisdom before an experiance. The meaning would be somewhat different you can still grown and then recall that pearl of wisdom ( quote ) and then truly understand the meaning at a deeper level. This is one of the great miracles of life and the journey you embark on.
There’s an interesting story of when the British where on a beach in Sydney Boiling fish in water. There were some local Aboriginal people standing around the boiling pot, these Aboriginal people had no concept or experianec of boiling water. So what happened next was an Aboriginal man put his hand straight into the boiling pot of water and possibly got the greatest surprise of his life not to mention sustaining severe pain and burns to the hand.
Pearls of Wisdom are a bit like this,
We have the ability to tell this man that he shouldn’t put his hand in the water. That Aboriginal man if trusting would take the advise and avoid a severe burn. Perhaps instead he could of put in just a finger tip for a nano second.
Yet after the experiance he know truly knows what its like to burn ones hand and the painful experiance of boiling water.
Many lessons would of been learned from this experiance and from the perspective of the Aboriginal people a phenomenom known as hot water. He has the potential to educate others and save many more hand burns.
After reading many books that talk about personal development and what positive attitudes successful people adopt. It is an interesting concept that after reading about lessons and experiances, we are empowerd to avoid the same mistake, and at the same time are able to experiance the mistake however with the precaution of a less negative experiance.
Its like your Dad saying to you “don’t smoke when your 17, because its bad for you.” and then trying smoking for the first time with at least the pretence of knowing its bad for your health.
This leads me to one of my Pearls of Wisdom
“Lessons are infinite and are not effected by time, its is possible then to go through life learning from your experiances and helping others… It is also possible to learn from your own experiances aswell as thousands of other peoples experiances by reading about their lessons. This means that your age is not the appropriate yardstick to measure your ability to empower others. Your empowering power should be better measured by the experiance of others whom you have read or heard about plus your own. Therefore it is possible to live many lives in one lifetime and empower others whom you come across in life with these stories learned. This to me is not only facinating but also an amazing capability of humankind.” – Kai Waldon
Think and Grow Rich: Step 1 Toward Riches: Desire
October 10, 2008“When EDWIN C. BARNES CLIMBED DOWN FROM THE freight train in East Orange, N.J., more than fifty years ago he may have resembled a tramp, but his thoughts were htose of a king!”
Dreams come true when desire transforms into concrete action. Ask life for great gifts and you encourage life to deliver them to you.
“Barnes succeeded because he chose a definite goal and placed all his energy, all his power, all his effort, everything, back of that goal.
“Every person who wins in any undertaking must be willing to burn his ships and cut all sources of retreat.”
“… because it is the same difference which distinguishes practically all who succeed from those who fail. Every Human being who reaches the age of understanding of the purpose of money wishes for it. Wishing will not bring riches. But desiring riches with a state of mind that becomes an obsession, then planning definte ways and means to acquire riches, and backing those plans with persistence which does not recognise failure, will bring riches.”
6 Steps that Turn Desires into Gold
- Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. Be definite as to the amount.
- Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire.
- Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.
- Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.
- Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.
- Read your written statement aloud twice daily, once after arising in the morning. As you read – see and feel and believe yourself already in possession of the money.
If you truly desire money so keenly that your desire is an obsession, you will have no difficulty in convincing yourself that you will acquire it. The object is to want money, and to become so determined to have it that you convince yourself you will have it.
Principles Worth$100,000,000
Thomas Edison, who placed his stamp of approval upon them as being, not only the steps essential for the accumulation of money, but for the attainment of any goal.
“The steps call for no “hard labor.” They call for no sacrifice. They do not require one to become ridiculous, or credulous.”
“You may as well know, right here, that you can never have riches in great quantities unless you can work yourself into a white heat of desire for money, and actually believe you will possess it.”
Great Dreams Can Turn Into Riches
“We who are in this race for riches should be encouraged to know that this changed world in which we live is demanding new ideas, new ways of doing things, new leaders, new inventions, new methods of teaching, new methods of marketing, new books, new literature, new features for television, new ideas for moving pictures.
Back of all this demand for new and better things, there is one quality which one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it.
We who desire to accumulate riches should remember the real leaders of the world always have been men who harnessed and put into practical use the intangible, unseen forcesof unborn opportunity, and have converted those forces…”
“In planning to acquire your share of the riches, let no one influence you to scorn the dreamer. “
If the thing you wish to do is right and you believe in go ahead and do it! Put your dreams across, and never mind what “thery” say if you meet with temporary defeat, for “they,” perhaps, do not know that every failure brings with it the seed of equivalent success.”
“Thomas Edison dreamed of a lamp that could be operated by electricity, began where he stood to put his dream into action, and despite more than ten thousand times, he stood by that dream until he made it a physical reality. Practical dreams do not quit!”
A burning desire to be and to do is the starting point from which the dreamer must take off.
“no one is ever defeated until defeat has been accepted as a reality.”
Step 1 Toward Riches: Desire
There is a difference between wishing for a thing and being ready to receive it. No one is ready for a thing until he believes he can acquire it. The state of mind must e belief, not mere hope or wish. Open-mindedness is essential for belief. Remember, no more effort is required to aim high in life, to demand abundance and prosperity, than is required to accept misery and poverty.
“For Life is just an employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task,”
Desire Performs the “Impossible”
He came into the world without any physical sign of ears,
I challanged the doctor’s opinion. I had the right to do so;
“Verily there is nothing right or wrong, which belieft, plus burning desire, cannot make real. These qualities are free to everyone.”
“I believe in the power of desire backed by faith because I have seen this power life men from lowly beginnings to places of power and wealth; I have seen it rob the grave of its victims,”
Points to Pin Down:
“When desire focuses great forces toward your victory, you do not need any way to retreat; victory is certain.”
Desire builds new victory out of temporary defeat. It was desire that built on of the world’s greatest departments stores literally upon ashes.
There are no limitations to the mind except those we acknowledge.
Think and Grow Rich – Thoughts are Things
October 10, 2008“Truly, ‘THOUGHTS ARE THINGS’, AND POWERFUL THINGS at that when they are mixed with definiteness of purpose, persistence, and a burning desire for their translation into riches, or other material objects.”
“Psychologist have correctly said that ‘when one is truly ready for a thing, it puts in its appearance.”
“Barnes made himself rich in money, but did he did something infinitely greater. He proved that one really may think and grow rich.”
“…. definate knowledge that an intangible impluse of thought can be transmuted into material rewards by the application of known principles.”
The Man Who Quit Too Soon
“One of the most common causes of failure is the habbit of quitting when one is overtaken by temporary defeat. Every person is guilty of this mistake at one time or another. “
“He had never heard that more gold has been mind from the htoughts of men than has ever been taken from the earth.”
“His calculations showed that the vein would be found just three feet from where the Darbys had stopped drilling!”
“The junk man took millions of dollars in ore from the mine beacuse he knew enough to seek expert counsel before giving up.”
Success with One Step Beyond Defeat
“He owed his “stickability” to the lesson he learned from his “quitability” in the gold mining business”
“Before success comes in any man’s life he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat and, perhaps, some failure.”
“More than five hundered of the most successful men this country has ever known told the author their greatest success came just one step beyone the point at which defeat had over taken them.”
“Failure is a trickster with a keen sense of irony and cunning. It takes great delight in tripping one when success is almost within reach.”
The “Yes” Behind the “No”
Mr. Darby pointed out: “Every time a prospect tried to bow me out buying, ….. I said no to myself: “I’ve gotta make this sale. The better portion of all sales I have made were made after people had said “No”
With one sound idea is all that one needs to achieve success.
“When riches begin to come they come so quickly, in such great abundance, that one wonders where they have been hiding all those lean years.”
“When you begin to think and grow rich, you will obsereve that riches begin with a state of mind, with definiteness of purpose, with litle or no hard work. You, and every other person, ought to be interested in knowing how to acquire that state of mind which will attract riches.
“One of the main weaknesses of mankind is the average man’s familiarity with the word ‘impossible’.”
“This book was written for those who seek the rules which have made others successful, and are willing to stake everything on those rules.”
“Success comes to those who come become success conscious. Failure comes to those who indifferently allow themselves to become failure conscious.”
“Another weakness found in altogether too many people is the habit of measuring everything, and everyone, by their own impressions and beliefs.”
“We foolishly belive that our own limitations are the proper measure of limitations.”
“I Want It and I’ll Have it”
“He should have told us that before we can accumulate riches in great abundance we must magnetise our minds with intense desire for riches, that we must become “money conscious” until the desire for money drives us to create definite plans for acquiring it.”
A Young Man Sees His Destiny
“We are now ready to examine the first of these principles. Maintain a spirit of open-mindedness, and remember as you read, they are the invention of no one man. The principles have worked for many men. You can put them to work for your own enduring benefit.”
“You will find it easy, not hard, to do.”
POINTS TO PIN DOWN:
Like Edwin Barnes, a man may be poorly dressed and penniless, yet his burning desire can bring him the opportunity of a lifetime.
The longer you work in the right direction, the closer you are to success. Too many men give up when successis within their grasp. They leave it for someone elase to caputre.
Purpose is the touchstone of any accomplishment, large or small. A strong man can be defeated by a child who has a purpose. Shift your habits of thinking about the significance of your task and you can often accomplish the seemingly impossible.
Like Henry Ford, you can transmit your own faith and persistence to others and get the “impossible” done well.
Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.
Notes from Think and Grow Rich
October 10, 2008Preface
“The secret was passed on to Stuart Austin Wier, of Dallas Texas. He was ready for it – so ready that he gave up his profession and studied law.”
“…Its purpose to convery a great universal truth through which all who are ready may learn what do do and how to do it!”
Michael LeBoeuf, Raw notes from Fast Forward
August 15, 2008Some Useful notes that I noted down from a very good business development book that has helped add significant value to me and some key business decisions that I have made.
Also the book shifts your focus to view sales as a ‘complete process’ and attention to detail is what makes the difference.
This book was recomended to me by a inspiring person John Dick from engin – “Thank you for sharing such powerful book and also the many other amazing books that has followed after reading this book.” – A real eye opener on business.
“Boomers will escalate the health-care, fitness and wellness – related industries. The next 20 years will be the golden age of plastic surgery.”
“Any product or service that helps boomers to look and feel better about themselves, or to look and feel better about themselves, or to live happier more active lives will thrive.”
Information Age
“In today’s and tomorrows world, it is possible to make more money from selling information and service related to the product than from selling the product.”
‘either be the cheapest or the absolute best in your market and you’ll find a ready and will number of customers.”
VALUE MARKETING STRATEGY WILL ATTRACT FROM BOTH ENDS
“Take charge o your own career and think of yourself as a one person Business”
What do you do?
How will do I do it?
How difficult it is to replace me?
“Continuously work at improving the way things get done.”

The fuel for growth
July 30, 2008If traveling opens the mind and increases tollerance for others.
Imagine what would happen to each of us if we all went to space? I’m sure all of a sudden we would realise
Hey.. I’m not so different from you!
I envy the people who are lucky enough to journey in space, I’m also excited at the possibility of going to space one day my self!
Remembering to look up
July 30, 2008Its amazing what I see when I remember to look up to the sky on a clear night.
Seeing stars and then knowing that most of them are suns and in many cases suns that a bigger than ours. Its probably the most humbling experience for me.
Knowing how small we are yet being responsible for our contribution is the miracle. Its sad when I meet someone who says
What difference can I make, I’m just one in a million?
We are so lucky that the seemingly insignificant cells that make up our body don’t share the same philosophy. Because we all know when one cell breaks down others follow, cancer isn’t very nice!
Bavarian Bier Cafe – Manly
July 27, 2008A sunny winter Sunday with the sky dark blue.
Meeting up with some friends to have a nice lunch at the Bier Cafe Manly.
Apart from the usual of %80 of the outside tables to always be reserved! we managed to get a table outside and had a nice lunch.
Food was average and the Bier was good. Perhaps next time I will try a more seafood menu.
